Calvin was born and raised in the great city of Chicago. He is the 5th child of seven siblings. Calvin started using one of his many gifts (music) at the age of three.  He sang as well as conducted his church choir throughout his life.  Calvin attended the Curie Metropolitan High School for the Performing Arts.  While attending Curie, he sang with the Advance Male Chorus, Advanced Mixed Chorus, and was the first conductor of the Curie Gospel Choir.  He participated in city and state competitions and received various awards for distinguished vocal skills & oration delivery.

Calvin made his acting debut in his sophomore year when he starred as Seymour in the musical stage play “Little Shop of Horrors”. In his junior year he was casted as the butler in the stage play “Ten Little Indians”. Calvin continues using his gifts as he gives God the glory through song writing, choreographing praise dance & mime, play writing, and directing.  Calvin's gifts expands beyond acting and directing stage productions. He is also talented in improvisational theater. 

Calvin’s commendable leadership is demonstrated through his dedication to youth mentorship. God is truly smiling on him. His love for God is reflected in the way God is using him. Calvin has written and directed several productions and is now debuting his new stage production, “When Loving You is Hurting Me!” Along with writing stage productions Calvin is also working on a Television Series entitled, "Love the Hurt Away!” & “Behind The Tears!”
